My name is Tanessa Williams and I'm from Waterford Michigan. Currently I'm in my third year of my Early Childhood Education Program at Oakland Community College. I anticipate to get my associates degree in the spring of 2025, and transfer to Oakland University to finish my program with a bachelors degree in education. I'm an assistant teacher in the preschool and pre-k program at Academic Adventures in Waterford Michigan, I have 8 years of experience working with young children. I worked in toddlers for three and a half years before moving to preschool, pre-k, and school-age for the past three years. Prior to working in childcare I volunteered my time to help in the children's class at my church for two years. Even though a lot of my time is spent working, I truly enjoy running in my spare time, in high school I ran in both cross country and track. Having passionate and kind teachers who genuinely cared about my education when I was younger, inspired and made me proud to do the same for young children today.
